The purpose of these books are to help give the prospective candidates a progressive and structured method of studying in a practical and workmanlike manner.

The only way of learning for both humans and equines, alike, is by repetition and practice.

The B, AH and A Test (Riding) books have been produced in a ring binder so you can include your own notes from lectures and study days, as well as articles from magazines.

By producing it in this format you can add notes to it as methods and ideas change over the years. 

I hope you will use them as reference books for all your future exams, adding to them throughout your equine career. 

They are intended for you to ‘dip into’, not read cover to cover!

Like everything in life there are many ways of doing the same thing. 
Often your method will be a matter of preference, and as such you must ensure it is safe, practical and workmanlike.

Try to obtain as much practical experience as you can.  This way you can show the examiners that you are used to handling lots of different types of horses and ponies and that you have no just gained your knowledge from books!
